Audio Processing Centre,
established in 2006 with the sponsorship from ARMament
REsearch Board (ARMREB) of Defense Research &
Development Organization (DRDO) India, provides an ideal
platform to conduct research on knowledge discovery in
audio signals, including speech, music and other
environmental sounds. The centre has the sate-of-the-art
acoustic research facilities such as anechoic chamber,
isolated processing room, microphone array, signal
processing hardware and software. |

Research fields include applications of digital signal
processing for audio, speech, communication technology
and music technology. The centre provides ample
potential research opportunities on mobile phones, VoIP,
design of loudspeakers & acoustic spaces, musical
instruments, speech synthesis and noise cancellation.
Resources in the centre offer excellent opportunities
for postgraduate studies and projects in Audio
engineering. Also, the centre undertakes consultancy and
research projects from Industries and Government
organizations. |
