Innovation, the successful exploitation of new ideas, is widely recognized as a major drive of economic growth; the same goes for globalization too. The theme of the conference will appeal to all those who are responsible for creating and implementing new knowledge and fostering innovation and who either have experience of turning these skills to the advantage of developing new products or who wish to become involved in such initiatives. This conference is aimed at stimulating a highly interactive environment to provide a forum to discuss strategies, solutions and technologies with colleagues facing similar issues and to learn about the latest technology innovations and approaches that help accelerate research.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE

PSG College of Technology, an ISO 9001:2000 certified institution is one of the foremost institutions. The college was established in the year 1951 and the founders wisely decided to locate it in the same campus as the PSG Industrial Institute for effective industryinstitute interaction. Among the various under-graduate and post-graduate programmes offered by the college, the National Board of Accreditation of AICTE accredited as many as 18 programmes in the year 1997 itself. The departments are greatly benefited by the expertise of more than 15 visiting faculty from renowned institutions and industries. Each department conducts at least one National / International Conference / Seminar / Workshop for effective dissemination of state-of-art technologies annually.

The Department

The department offers postgraduate programme in M.Tech (Information Technology) and undergraduate programmes in B.Tech (Information Technology) and B.Sc (Information Technology). The department has experienced faculty and well-established laboratories. The Information Technology laboratories are well equipped with Windows 2000 Advanced Server, IBM Xseries Server, AS/400 Server and 160 Pentium machines. The department interacts persistently with esteemed academic institutions, reputed industries and R&D organizations.
