A German team of experts visited PSG College of Technology on 18th February 2008.

           The discussion were held for collaboration with PSG College of Technology and the members of the German team consisted of Mr.H.N.Chatterjee, Mr. Berhhard Jockel, Mr. Frank Martin Clauβ, Dr. Henning Hummels, Mr. Stefan Boehm, Mr. Joerg Janssen, Mr. Gopal Srivastava, and Dr. Peter Langenbeck. The german delegates made representations about various technologies like Spray coating, Slide Wy Materials for Machine Tools, High Speed Air Bearings, Automotive Materials & Fabrications and introduced the dual Vocational Educational System.

          Mr Achim Schulz, Managing Partner of Indo German Institute of Technology and   Mr.C.R.Swaminathan, Chief Executive, PSG Institutions signed a MoU for setting up an Indo German Instititute of Technology for Training at PSG College of Technology. Letters of Intent for collaboration between PSG College of Technology. Letters of Intent for collaboration between PSG College of Technology and RWTH Aachen and Technical University, Braunschweig in the following areas signed on that occassion.

            a) Research in Intelligent Machine Tools (Adaptronics & Smart Machines)

           b) The research on fibre reinforced materials and smart materials for textile machinery

           c) Research in micro systems engineering and MEMS sensor development Letter of Intent for the collaboration in Dual Vocational Educational System was also signed.
