PSG college of technology was established
in the year 1951 under the able leadership of founder
principal Dr.
G.R.Damodaran. Driven by a mission to provide
world class engineering education, the institution is well on its
way towards attaining that status. It fosters research and development
activities in key areas of Engineering and Technology. The excellent
infrastructure available in the institution for the pursuit of engineering
education has been lauded by alumni, employers, educationists and
policy makers. The college was granted autonomy in 1978 for all
programs. The institution has been accorded
ISO 9001 certificate. The institution which began with two
undergraduate courses, presently offers 25 undergraduate programs,
and 20 Post Graduate programs. The institution also offers doctoral
programs in 11 disciplines and M.Phil programs in 6 disciplines.
The institution has 17 departments and a student strength of 5392
with present annual intake of 1400 students. It has always been
pursuing innovative applications of technology in addition to providing
engineering education.
