Dr Kanchana Jeganathan, Professor in Mechanical Engineering and Dy. Director - International Education, 35 years of teaching and research experience in PSG Institutions, Coimbatore India and in Kings College London, UK. Supervised more than 80 UG and 30 PG student projects and 5 Ph.D. doctoral research in Engineering /Manufacturing and has published more than 60 technical papers in International / National journals and conferences in India and UK. Lead and carried out more than 50 consultancy projects as a team for Aerospace, Automobile and Textile manufacturing industries in the area of Design, Analysis, Manufacturing and Reverse Engineering. Successful with government-funded research projects and acted as principal investigator and co-investigator for Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and Department of Science and Technology (DST) projects and Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) Successfully completed the development of clinical database software for NHS patients with severe complex disabilities, with the focus of System Study, Design and Application development on Client/Server environment and Data Base Administration (DBA) Academic and Examinations Head - responsible for International credit transfer programs offered at PSG Institute of Advanced studies, in collaboration with Universities in USA, Germany, Australia and UK. Frequent visitor to all the partnership universities in abroad. IUCEE – Indo US Consortium for Engineering Education – Academic Leader and student mentor. In UK, also served as Subject Learning Coach – Engineering, Learning Skills Council, South East region, UK External Quality Nominee for Engineering Education, QIP, South East Region, UK Assessment Associate, Manufacturing Engineering, Edexcel, London, UK Fellow and member in IMECH, UK, IE, India, Women in Engineering Society, UK
